Pickling Lines
Our range of Pickling lines are
characterized by high pickling rates, low-cost pickling operations and
flexible production capability. The different pickling technologies
include Push-Pull, Semi-Continuous and Continuous Pickling Lines.
Push-Pull Pickling Lines
Push-Pull Pickling Line are used for
individual processing, thus removing the need for joining strip. These
push pull pickling line provides excellent operational flexibility with the ease
for frequently changing strip dimensions and steel grades. As there is
no accumulator in the line, this technology is the most cost-effective
method for medium volume of production. Push-Pull Pickling Line can
process strips between 1.0mm to 6.0mm thick and 200mm to 2000mm wide.
Semi-Continuous & Continuous Pickling
Line
Semi-Continuous & Continuous
Pickling Line is used for high volume production with continuous
operation by welding/stitching. The accumulators provided at the entry
and exit that ensures a consistent flow in process during the joining
and removal of coils at the recoiler end. In the continuous pickling line the
process runs at constant speed, while in the noncontinuous line the
speed of the process is reduced during the changeover or coil jointing
due to small capacity accumulators. The installation Semi-Continuous &
Continuous Pickling Line are highly cost-effective because of its simple
accumulator design.
Features
Turbulent Acidic Bath:
The shallow pickling tanks made of granite are specially contoured to
permit fast and trouble free threading.
The continuous flow in the tank increases the rate of pickling by
causing high turbulence of acid in the tank. This enables high speeds
with low residence.
Spray Rinsing:
The pickling lines are provided with integrated washing system to
ensure that strips carry very low amount after the pickling process is
completed. This ensures long life of the rolling mill coolant in the
subsequent cold rolling operation. It also contributes to longer
shelf-life of pickled coils.
Acidic Recirculation System:
The Acidic Recirculation System is engineered to ensure good pickling
quality and hassle free performance. All acid recirculation tanks and
pipes are made form FRVE. The -pipes can withstand high temperature
above 80° C. P.P. Instrumentation, meters and MMIs are integrated
in the system for continuous monitoring of the process parameters.
Additional Inline Features:
Additional features like Edge-Trimming, Skin-Passing,
Coating,Cut-To-Length etc. can be incorporated as per the requirements
of the customer.
Environment Friendly:
Our process section have a properl sealing for the tanks and an
efficient fume exhaust and scrubbing system to ensure low release of
acid fumes within the plant.
Low Effluents:
The waste pickling liquor is low in volume due to high amount of iron
content. The acidic water effluent is also extremely low.
Cost-effective:
The design of the line ensures maximum utilisation of the acid for
pickling and least wastage through effluents, thus resulting in lower
consumption of acid per ton production.
The recycling of acidic water in the system reduces the consumption of
water.
